After 14 played minutes Karamellpojkarna BK got a freekick which was hit by Arman Nordstedt. After a rather tough play, Karamellpojkarna BK's Ramon van der Gouw got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Bernt Lindell fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Karamellpojkarna BK's Marcus Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Åkesson in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Ekström in the 36th minute of play forced Karamellpojkarna BK's goalkeeper Marcus Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Åkesson's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Karamellpojkarna BK's zone, Harry Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Sjögren came out of the goal and Harry Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Harry Åkesson came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Jäckvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Åkesson couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-1 when John Klementsson sped through Jäckvik's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tor Zachrisson. After having played for 92 minutes, John Klementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karamellpojkarna BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Klementsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Erik Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
