Sakarias Askstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Karl-Magnus Eliasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sven Galle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 played minutes Huaröd IFK got a freekick which was hit by Börge Klemensson. 13 minutes into the match, Motala RK's goal looked a bit too open when Edvin Mårtensson came free, but Olle Frisk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Magnus Eliasson made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sakarias Askstedt sent off a good shot on target. Bo Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olle Frisk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvin Mårtensson in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Sven Galle put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Karl-Magnus Eliasson. Sven Galle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Magnus Eliasson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Huaröd IFK's zone, Ludwig Håning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Magnus Eliasson came out of the goal and Ludwig Håning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th match minute, Huaröd IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Klemensson to maneuver through the defense. Huaröd IFK's Karl-Magnus Eliasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Huaröd IFK from getting a goal against them. Karl-Magnus Eliasson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sakarias Askstedt went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bo Pettersson was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Bo Pettersson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olle Frisk was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Olle Frisk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Pettersson in the 61st minute of play. Olle Frisk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo Pettersson's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Motala RK's Kenny Isaksson got a free kick in the 70th minute. Edvin Mårtensson might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olle Frisk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edvin Mårtensson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Bo Pettersson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olle Frisk. The goal made the score 2-1. A collision led to Motala RK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ludwig Håning hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Edvin Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huaröd IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvin Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olle Frisk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Ludwig Håning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edvin Mårtensson struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Olle Frisk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huaröd IFK. If Bo Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Huaröd IFK's Edvin Mårtensson, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Huaröd IFK. When Sakarias Askstedt came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Motala RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakarias Askstedt couldn't finish the play. 98 minutes into the game, Sven Galle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Karl-Magnus Eliasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
