Spectators: 6982 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claes Bergqvist started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Dalvik FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elof Rudkvist to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Gällivare BK's Greger Ivarsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Andy Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claes Bergqvist in the 6th minute of play. Dalvik FF's Andy Martinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Bergqvist in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalvik FF's goalkeeper Andy Martinsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Åke Kellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 21st minute Evert Willig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Bergsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Kellbom who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Karl-Erik Bergsten when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claes Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Martinsson having to interfere. Jörgen Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gällivare BK's Karl-Erik Bergsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Willig in the 33rd minute of play. Greger Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Greger Ekström struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Andy Martinsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gällivare BK. Claes Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalvik FF's Andy Martinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Dalvik FF from getting a goal against them. Greger Ivarsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Dalvik FF. Elof Rudkvist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Karl-Erik Bergsten. 1-0. When Åke Kellbom fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dalvik FF's protests and gave Åke Kellbom a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gällivare BK booed when Dalvik FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Kellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greger Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Andy Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Dalvik FF's Andy Martinsson got control of the ball when Greger Ekström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elliot Kellbom hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gällivare BK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Bergsten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dalvik FF's zone, Greger Ekström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Martinsson came out of the goal and Greger Ekström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greger Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Martinsson having to interfere. Karl-Erik Bergsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Kellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Evert Willig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Willig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Bergsten having to interfere. Gällivare BK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
