In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Korsberga's goalkeeper Gunnar Högman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Henric Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gällivare BK's Karl-Erik Bergsten proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Gällivare BK from getting a goal against them. Karl-Erik Bergsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Brogren in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Greger Ekström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Claes Bergqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gunnar Högman. Korsberga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claes Bergqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Niklas Täman hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Greger Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Greger Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gunnar Högman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greger Ekström struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gunnar Högman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gällivare BK. Korsberga's Gunnar Högman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Bergqvist in the 46th minute of play. Gunnar Högman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greger Ekström in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Gällivare BK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gunnar Högman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gunnar Högman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Bergqvist in the 54th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Gällivare BK's Greger Ekström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Högman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Claes Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Gällivare BK's Claes Bergqvist in the 64th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gunnar Högman was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Korsberga through an amazing save. Gällivare BK's Claes Bergqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gällivare BK's Elliot Kellbom got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Henric Brogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Bergsten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henric Brogren struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Karl-Erik Bergsten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Korsberga. Karl-Erik Bergsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henric Brogren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henric Brogren scored 1-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Erik Bergsten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dan Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melker Sjöström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gällivare BK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
