Casper Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Alströmmer in the 8th minute of the match. Lennart Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to Åhus FK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jerry Lundgren hit a great ball. Sverker Qvalfeldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jakob Nordström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sverker Qvalfeldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerry Lundgren hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Alströmmer in the 25th minute of play forced Katrineholm's goalkeeper Casper Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aleksander Bergfeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jakob Nordström made a huge save. Åhus FK's Jakob Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Godholm in the 33rd minute of play. If Jens-Erik Alströmmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Rutger Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åhus FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rutger Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nils-Åke Godholm made the kick off in the second half. Nils-Åke Godholm struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jakob Nordström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katrineholm. In the 56th match minute, Katrineholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Apelkvist to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Hägert was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 61 played minutes Åhus FK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Alströmmer. 65 minutes into the game, Katrineholm's Nils-Åke Godholm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jakob Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 71 minutes, Aleksander Bergfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Katrineholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Bergfeldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melker Utter hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Åhus FK defense, Nils-Åke Godholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jakob Nordström. The Åhus FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jakob Nordström should have stopped the shot. Åhus FK's Jakob Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksander Bergfeldt in the 85th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksander Bergfeldt during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jens-Erik Alströmmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils-Åke Godholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
