Håkan Bergren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Valrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rydaholms Gubbar's Tomas Wassenius got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Rydaholms Gubbar's Tomas Wassenius sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Håkan Bergren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Andreas Valström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th play minute Andreas Valström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fredrik Söderman. 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Allan Wassenius notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Rydaholms Gubbar's Fredrik Söderman. Fredrik Söderman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sivert Östensson in the 33rd minute of play forced Charlies IF's goalkeeper Håkan Bergren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Charlies IF's zone, Tomas Wassenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Bergren came out of the goal and Tomas Wassenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Sivert Östensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydaholms Gubbar's supporters rose to their feet, but Sivert Östensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Håkan Bergren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Allan Wassenius to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Harry Vennersten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charlies IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rydaholms Gubbar the free kick. Harry Vennersten hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Tomas Wassenius kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Charlies IF's keeper Håkan Bergren was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 61stth minute of the game Sivert Östensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlies IF's Håkan Bergren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Valström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fredrik Söderman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Allan Wassenius made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Söderman. Rydaholms Gubbar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 81st minute, Carl Finman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Sivert Östensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Bergren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Wassenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 93 played minutes Rydaholms Gubbar got a freekick which was hit by Åke Kuse. Charlies IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
