In the 18th match minute, Ac Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Pedersson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 19 minutes, Magnus Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magnus Sundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Henrik Wallin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skog's Jonny Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Wallin in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrik Wallin in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonny Hansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henrik Wallin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jonny Hansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ac Milan. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Broberg made a kick off.
