A collision led to Håknäs getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ingvar Willig hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Haegg in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Ove Skog saved Håknäs from getting behind. Mark Haegg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sven-Ove Skog came out and tried to block the shot, but Mark Haegg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Joakim Fransson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Marcus Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Håknäs's Frans Pihlgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Apelqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Marc Ahlfors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odensbacken FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Ahlfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Ahlfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Skog having to interfere. When Mark Haegg came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Odensbacken FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Haegg couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Håknäs's Sven-Ove Skog got control of the ball when Marc Ahlfors tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Haegg in the 39th minute of play forced Håknäs's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Skog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Haegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sven-Ove Skog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc Ahlfors struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Sven-Ove Skog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odensbacken FK. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Haegg to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Odensbacken FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frans Pihlgren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sebastian Apelqvist was a little too slow when Marcus Mattsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 2-1. Frans Pihlgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Apelqvist having to interfere. If Marc Ahlfors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 91 in the game by Frans Pihlgren from a close distance when the talented Sebastian Apelqvist managed to make a qualified save. Odensbacken FK's players were relieved. After having played for 92 minutes, Frans Pihlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 98th minute Mark Haegg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Skog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
