Spectators: 6671 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christian Rosendahl kicked off to start the match. Aaron Lövskog, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 7 minutes of play, Newcastle United's Johannes Nilsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilbert Liljeström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilbert Liljeström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Karlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Algren kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Nilsson in the 27th minute of play forced Hovshaga AIF's goalkeeper Gilbert Liljeström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johannes Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattias Nordgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilbert Liljeström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Nordgren's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Jens-Erik Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Mattias Nordgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gilbert Liljeström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Hovshaga AIF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newcastle United were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johannes Nilsson made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Hovshaga AIF got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Blom. Östen Kellman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Harry Hellström hit a great ball. Östen Kellman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilhelm Algren's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes, Torgny Karlstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United and the Hovshaga AIF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Torgny Karlstedt hit a great ball. Johannes Nilsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vilhelm Algren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johannes Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gilbert Liljeström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Rosendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Nilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Liljeström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Östen Kellman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Rosendahl in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Hovshaga AIF getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Orvar Nordin hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Johannes Nilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Liljeström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orvar Nordin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Östen Kellman having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Newcastle United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
