The referee ignored Newcastle United's protests and gave Aaron Lövskog a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, one of Newcastle United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newcastle United. The referee gave Lingon Imperiets IF a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nils Wallmark, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Newcastle United's Östen Kellman. 6-1. Östen Kellman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Sandell in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Hellström to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes of play, Lingon Imperiets IF's Folke Elg made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Östen Kellman was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Lingon Imperiets IF's Leo Mattsson got control of the ball when Mattias Nordgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Lingon Imperiets IF's Folke Elg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Östen Kellman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torgny Karlstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Leo Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Nilsson in the 84th minute of play. Mattias Nordgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Leo Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newcastle United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lingon Imperiets IF.
