Yngve Björk might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Lindqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 17th minute, Mats Fanström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Timmernabben IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 20th match minute, Horndal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Olofsson to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Horndal got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Björk. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Freddie Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timmernabben IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fritz Tunström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Fanström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mats Fanström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fritz Tunström having to make a save. Freddie Berggren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fritz Tunström came out and tried to block the shot, but Freddie Berggren slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 26th minute. A collision led to Horndal getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Karl-Åke Lund hit a great ball. Mats Fanström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Tunström having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Horndal got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Skoglund. 38 minutes into the game, Mats Fanström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fritz Tunström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rdth minute of the game Freddie Berggren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horndal's Fritz Tunström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fritz Tunström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Fanström went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Karl-Michael Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Freddie Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fritz Tunström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Timmernabben IFK booed when Horndal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Olofsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörn Olofsson charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörn Olofsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fritz Tunström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Timmernabben IFK fully deserved thier win.
