Joakim Sandström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ted Vester made a huge save. The supporters of Motala booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Björling didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Pontus Pilblad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Pilblad came free, but Ted Vester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
