Spectators: 7293 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 144) Phuket Racers's Tord Bäckman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernt Gudmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Pettersson made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Lappland BK's Ernst Falkrans got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tim Vester came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Lappland BK's Oscar Blomqvist. But to his dismay, Oscar Blomqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Vidar Bergdal might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tim Vester. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vidar Bergdal ran back to his position shaking his head. Tim Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennart Biörling, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Oscar Blomqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute Vidar Bergdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Vester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Vester came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Lappland BK's Vidar Bergdal. But to his dismay, Vidar Bergdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tim Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidar Bergdal in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Phuket Racers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carl Hultstrand was slow to take the kick. During this time Lappland BK's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Lappland BK's corner Carl Hultstrand fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tim Vester quite easily take care of the ball. Vidar Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Ernst Falkrans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lappland BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phuket Racers the free kick. The Phuket Racers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lappland BK were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Blomqvist to make the kick off. Oscar Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Vester having to interfere. Torsten Hellkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Vidar Bergdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vidar Bergdal scored 0-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Vester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, Lappland BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Blomqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lappland BK's Jan-Ove Pettersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Gudmundsson in the 81st minute of play. After 93 minutes, Rudolf Fågel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phuket Racers and the Lappland BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Rudolf Fågel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Phuket Racers's zone, Vidar Bergdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Vester came out of the goal and Vidar Bergdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tim Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Blomqvist in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Lappland BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Phuket Racers throughout the match.
