In the 17th minute, Fred Danielsson made a precise shot to the right of Wilhelm Wikander. Habesh United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 19th match minute, Habesh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Lundgren to maneuver through the defense. Skärholmen's Nils-Åke Kiempe got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Habesh United's Wilhelm Wikander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Gustavsson in the 24th minute of play. Elliott Asklund's late challenge caught a Skärholmen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elliott Asklund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Elliott Asklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skärholmen's Sonny Brovall got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 minutes, Allan Liljeström made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Skärholmen's Roy Holmberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th match minute, Skärholmen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Wilhelm Wikander was a little too slow when Mats Gustavsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-1. Allan Liljeström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 46 minutes into the match, Habesh United's goal looked a bit too open when Sonny Brovall came free, but Wilhelm Wikander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Danielsson took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilhelm Wikander. Wilhelm Wikander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Allan Liljeström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Holmberg came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Habesh United's Richard Lundgren. But to his dismay, Richard Lundgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Habesh United's Wilhelm Wikander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Pettersson in the 60th minute of play. Allan Liljeström in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roy Holmberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Habesh United defense, Mats Gustavsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilhelm Wikander. The Habesh United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilhelm Wikander should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Habesh United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Skärholmen. Nils-Åke Kiempe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wilhelm Wikander. 6-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Oskar Lundin during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Per-Oskar Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Habesh United's Allan Liljeström in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Skärholmen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2. Wilhelm Wikander came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Skärholmen's Sonny Brovall. But to his dismay, Sonny Brovall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Skärholmen's Roy Holmberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Skärholmen from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 93 in the game by Allan Liljeström from a close distance when the talented Roy Holmberg managed to make a qualified save. Skärholmen's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Pettersson in the 99th minute of play forced Habesh United's goalkeeper Wilhelm Wikander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Skärholmen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Habesh United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
