In the 3rd minute, Jens Ström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eetu Modig was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8th minute, The Kings's Pål Bergdal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hannes Hård. Hannes Hård yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Roland Zachrisson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pål Bergdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Hård having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, The Kings's Pål Bergdal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hannes Hård narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eetu Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Zachrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 21 played minutes The Kings got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Möllgren. Andy Björklund kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Adrian Billström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Roland Zachrisson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eetu Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Kings's Eetu Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Ström in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Ingvar Söderquist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eetu Modig showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Roland Zachrisson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eetu Modig firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Kings's Adrian Billström got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pål Bergdal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hannes Hård read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Gällnöby IK. Konrad Bergren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eetu Modig. 1-2. The Kings's Eetu Modig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save The Kings from getting a goal against them. Eetu Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, The Kings's goalkeeper Eetu Modig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Zachrisson. Jens Ström struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Eetu Modig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gällnöby IK. After 91 played minutes The Kings got a freekick which was hit by Pål Bergdal. Roland Zachrisson in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eetu Modig, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 94 minutes, Pål Bergdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Kings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Bergdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to The Kings getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Andy Björklund hit a great ball.
