The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Malmbäck's Sebastian Bergfeldt got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hjalmar Svartengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malmbäck's Jonas Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Rosen in the 13th minute of play. Hjalmar Svartengren struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Andréas Kielberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malmbäck. If Sebastian Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Kielberg having to interfere. Andréas Kielberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Svartengren in the 28th minute of the match. Sebastian Bergfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Kielberg having to interfere. Fred Rosen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Andreasson having to interfere. Sten Spetz kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute of the match Peder Petersson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Andreasson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 40th match minute, Malmbäck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Spetz to maneuver through the defense. Josef Hagström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malmbäck's goalkeeper Jonas Andreasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Bergfeldt made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Josef Hagström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vemhån IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Hagström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vemhån IK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rune Nordal hit a great ball. Leonard Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Malmbäck's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Rosen came free, but Jonas Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malmbäck's goalkeeper Jonas Andreasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Malmbäck players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
