The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joseph Kling during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gröndals IK's Karl-Johan Edström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Gröndals IK from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronny Brandin in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Josefsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gröndals IK's Lars-Erik Andersson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Andersson in the 13th minute of play forced Smista FC's goalkeeper Sten Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoffer Lekberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Johan Edström. Gröndals IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Albert Albom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albert Albom struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Karl-Johan Edström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smista FC. Gröndals IK's Karl-Johan Edström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Olofsson in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Lars-Erik Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Josefsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Bergvall kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Smista FC's Malte Hermansson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Valentin Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Albert Albom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars-Erik Andersson to make the kick off. Valentin Olofsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennet Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Lars-Erik Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Josefsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Johan Edström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Albom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gröndals IK's zone, Albert Albom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Johan Edström came out of the goal and Albert Albom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Olofsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Edström having to interfere. If Albert Albom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valentin Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Karl-Johan Edström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Brandin in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sten Josefsson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Karl-Johan Edström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Albom in the 88th minute of play. The supporters of Gröndals IK booed when Smista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Joensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gröndals IK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Smista FC had controlled the match.
