Dag Hellbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Nils Strömqvist made a huge save. In the 28th match minute, Kusmark IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Staffan Olsson to maneuver through the defense. Nils Strömqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Apelkvist's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Kusmark IFK's Nils Strömqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Kusmark IFK from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Lennart Salkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vidar Ennegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vidar Ennegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Waller in the 37th minute of the match. Vidar Ennegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lennart Salkvist went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. A collision led to Kusmark IFK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bo Palmquist hit a great ball. After 44 played minutes Kusmark IFK got a freekick which was hit by Olov Biörkquist.

In the 52nd minute, Dag Hellbom made a precise shot to the right of Nils Strömqvist. Kusmark IFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 56th minute Roger Apelkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Strömqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Hellbom in the 60th minute of play forced Kusmark IFK's goalkeeper Nils Strömqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Waller in the 65th minute of play forced Fagersta BF's goalkeeper Vidar Ennegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredrik Ingemarsson charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Ingemarsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fredrik Ingemarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Fagersta BF were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Kusmark IFK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sören Böcklund took the corner. Arman Häll thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nils Strömqvist, a very annoying self made goal in the 70th minute which led to 2-4. Sören Böcklund hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Lennart Salkvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vidar Ennegren could save by the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Kusmark IFK's Staffan Olsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vidar Ennegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. After 94 played minutes Ingvar Waller rounded Fagersta BF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-7.
