FC Internazionale's August Häger got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Kasper Petersson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conny Valström. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. If Jörgen Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, FC Internazionale's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Lindgren came free, but Andreas Viberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Jörgen Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Läderpojkarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörgen Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 minutes, Bernt Mårtensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Läderpojkarna and the FC Internazionale players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kasper Petersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andreas Högström hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, FC Internazionale's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Mårtensson came free, but Andreas Viberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Calle Bruse from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Conny Valström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 41st minute, Bernt Mårtensson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Viberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Andreas Viberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Lindgren in the 45th minute of play.

The wind increased when Bernt Mårtensson made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Kasper Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Myhr kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Internazionale's Calle Bruse tried to score from far away in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. August Häger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Conny Valström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Åke Sundén during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Läderpojkarna's Fredric Svanström got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Internazionale's zone, Jörgen Lindgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Viberg came out of the goal and Jörgen Lindgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christoffer Månsson charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christoffer Månsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christoffer Månsson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Bo-Erik Fågel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Internazionale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Läderpojkarna the free kick. After 87 played minutes FC Internazionale got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Fågel. After 90 minutes of play FC Internazionale's Bo-Erik Fågel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Internazionale's Bo-Erik Fågel got a free kick in the 91st minute. Wilhelm Pil shot from long distance in the 92nd minute, but Andreas Viberg was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post.
