The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victor Nyström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Björnsson in the 3rd minute of the match. After 4 played minutes Grums got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Colin. 7 minutes into the match, Folke Hansson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolf Jönsson. Grums's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Folke Hansson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Folke Hansson came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Stigtomta IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folke Hansson couldn't finish the play. Folke Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Folke Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Cane in the 18th minute of play forced Grums's goalkeeper Rolf Jönsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grums's zone, Benjamin Cane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolf Jönsson came out of the goal and Benjamin Cane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Nyström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Björnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stigtomta IF's goalkeeper Victor Nyström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Folke Hansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Jönsson having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Stigtomta IF's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Björnsson came free, but Victor Nyström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Sivert Österberg made a precise shot to the right of Victor Nyström. Stigtomta IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Cane to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Jarl Colin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grums's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stigtomta IF the free kick. A collision led to Grums getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jarl Colin hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Philip Björnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Cane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Folke Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rolf Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Folke Hansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stigtomta IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Folke Hansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Cane who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Rolf Jönsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Philip Björnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Philip Björnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grums's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Björnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 82 minutes on the clock, Mark Lövskog commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 81st minute, one of Stigtomta IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stigtomta IF. Jack Helberg struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rolf Jönsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stigtomta IF. Benjamin Cane came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolf Jönsson could save by the left post. After 99 played minutes Grums got a freekick which was hit by Sivert Österberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Björnsson in the 101st minute of play forced Stigtomta IF's goalkeeper Victor Nyström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stigtomta IF were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
