Einar Gallberg charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Einar Gallberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alby getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Einar Gallberg hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Alf Fågel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alby's Alex Samuelsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hamneda. Alf Fågel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sören Vestberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Sören Vestberg managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Alby's Alf Fågel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Rudberg in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sören Vestberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Georg Liljeström's late challenge caught a Hamneda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Georg Liljeström helped the player get up and apologised. If Ingvar Västberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Hamneda's Sören Vestberg got control of the ball when Georg Liljeström tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Bergqvist made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Ingvar Västberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamneda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Västberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Torgny Rudberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingvar Västberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eddie Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Billy Bergqvist came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Hamneda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Billy Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. Alf Fågel might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sören Vestberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alf Fågel ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes, Alf Fågel made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hamneda's Sören Vestberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sören Vestberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Liljeström's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Sören Vestberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alf Fågel went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 91 minutes, Alf Fågel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Fågel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alby's Alf Fågel got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alby's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
