The Älvsbyn IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Överman should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute Hugo Kjellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Överman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Olof Melin during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Älvsbyn IK's Sven-Olof Melin got a free kick in the 45th minute. A collision led to Älvsbyn IK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sven-Olof Melin hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Älvsbyn IK's goalkeeper August Överman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Kjellbom. Hugo Kjellbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hugo Kjellbom came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Surahammar FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Kjellbom couldn't finish the play. In the 86th match minute, Älvsbyn IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Olof Melin to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Robin Kihlman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Älvsbyn IK's zone, Robin Kihlman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Överman came out of the goal and Robin Kihlman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Hugo Kjellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Älvsbyn IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Surahammar FK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
