Spectators: 7295 (Terracing: 5473, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gottfrid Nordal made the kick off which started today's match. Bertil Mattsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roy Lennartsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Karl Engström hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Gottfrid Nordal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västra Ämtervik IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gottfrid Nordal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Hugo Kjellbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 13 minutes into the game, Robin Kihlman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valdemar Gulliksson. Robin Kihlman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Surahammar FK booed when Västra Ämtervik IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Västra Ämtervik IFK's Valdemar Gulliksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Kihlman in the 19th minute of play. When Bengt Lekberg fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surahammar FK's protests and gave Bengt Lekberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Surahammar FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Lekberg to maneuver through the defense. Ingmar Norberg hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Håkan Albohm, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hugo Kjellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Gulliksson having to interfere. When Bengt Lekberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. In the 42nd minute, Bengt Lekberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gottfrid Nordal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Roy Lennartsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Kjellbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Valdemar Gulliksson made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Kjellbom made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Håkan Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Västra Ämtervik IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Surahammar FK the free kick. In the 54th minute, Håkan Dahlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Gulliksson came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Surahammar FK's Hugo Kjellbom. But to his dismay, Hugo Kjellbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Hugo Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Kjellbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdemar Gulliksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Kjellbom ran back to his position shaking his head. Bertil Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Lennartsson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Hugo Kjellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surahammar FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Kjellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Gulliksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Robin Kihlman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Hugo Kjellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surahammar FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Kjellbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Gulliksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdemar Gulliksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Kjellbom in the 86th minute of play. In the 91st minute Gottfrid Nordal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Lennartsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Västra Ämtervik IFK's Håkan Dahlberg got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Hugo Kjellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Västra Ämtervik IFK's goalkeeper Valdemar Gulliksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Surahammar FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
