After 7 minutes of play, Marklarians's Stig Skoglund made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 12 played minutes, Utansjö RK's Björn Lundin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valentin Modig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Utansjö RK reached it. Valentin Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvin Vibjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Stig Skoglund came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Marklarians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig Skoglund couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Utansjö RK's goalkeeper Vilhelm Gunnarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ulf Arhenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Sandström was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Marklarians getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Viktor Sandström hit a great ball. 46 minutes in the game, Erik Strandberg fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Valentin Modig having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvin Vibjörnsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Marklarians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Brodin to maneuver through the defense. Edvin Vibjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Valentin Modig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig Skoglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Gunnarsson having to interfere. Marklarians's Valentin Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvin Vibjörnsson in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Strandberg in the 94th minute of play forced Marklarians's goalkeeper Valentin Modig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 98 minutes Marklarians's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hannes Jakobsson who took care of the corner kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
