Sven-Oskar Bergström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RCFC Academy's Karl-Magnus Gummeson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Månsson in the 42nd minute of play forced RCFC Academy's goalkeeper Andreas Torstensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Karl-Magnus Gummeson fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RCFC Academy's protests and gave Karl-Magnus Gummeson a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes RCFC Academy got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Magnus Gummeson. Johan Grelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Di Persio, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. RCFC Academy's Andreas Torstensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Månsson in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

If Karl-Magnus Gummeson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Vilgot Eskilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Torstensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to RCFC Academy getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. August Broman hit a great ball. Vilgot Eskilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Andreas Torstensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, RCFC Academy's Björn Vibjörnsson got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Henry Albom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and RCFC Academy's Andreas Torstensson didn't even have to move. Henry Albom stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andreas Torstensson. 4-1. 93 minutes into the match, RCFC Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Eskilsson came free, but Andreas Torstensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Vilgot Eskilsson notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of RCFC Academy's Andreas Torstensson. Andreas Torstensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Vilgot Eskilsson came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Stockholm United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilgot Eskilsson couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stockholm United had won after a very even match.
