Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rikard Norberg's late challenge caught a Nybro BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rikard Norberg helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Nybro BK's Bernt Blomqvist tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Puckmuckarnas IK's Tomas Ivarsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Dahlgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nybro BK's Simon Widberg got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nybro BK's Simon Widberg got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Ulf Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Runberg kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stefan Runberg during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Nybro BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Runberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match Casper Kock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paul Dahlgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puckmuckarnas IK's zone, Ulf Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Ros came out of the goal and Ulf Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tomas Ivarsson came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Puckmuckarnas IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Ivarsson couldn't finish the play. Johnny Ros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Johansson went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Widberg to make the kick off. Johnny Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Bolin in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Tomas Ivarsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paul Dahlgren. Tomas Ivarsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Niklas Örtlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Dahlgren having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Nybro BK's goalkeeper Paul Dahlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niklas Örtlund. Johnny Ros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Widberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Puckmuckarnas IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Johansson came free, but Johnny Ros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nybro BK's Paul Dahlgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Ivarsson in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th match minute, Nybro BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Runberg to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Tomas Ivarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puckmuckarnas IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Ivarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Puckmuckarnas IK's Göran Alfors got a free kick in the 85th minute. Nybro BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernt Blomqvist in the 88th minute. Puckmuckarnas IK's Tomas Ivarsson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Nybro BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. Puckmuckarnas IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
