After a defensive mix-up in Vetlanda IK's zone, Sven-Edvin Björkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Linberg came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Björkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Robin Månsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FU2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vetlanda IK the free kick. A collision led to FU2 getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Robin Månsson hit a great ball. Sven-Edvin Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Carl Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Uno Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FU2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uno Thorsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FU2's Viktor Billberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FU2 from getting a goal against them. Pontus Fransson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. FU2's Viktor Billberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Tinglöf in the 48th minute of play.

Carl Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Björkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Göran Tinglöf took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viktor Billberg. Viktor Billberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Göran Tinglöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Billberg having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sakarias Petersson in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Billberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sakarias Petersson scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viktor Billberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Göran Tinglöf struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Viktor Billberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vetlanda IK. Sven-Edvin Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Carl Linberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig Gernberg during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vetlanda IK's Stig Gernberg got a free kick in the 82nd minute. FU2's Sven-Edvin Björkman got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Sakarias Petersson notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FU2's Viktor Billberg. Viktor Billberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
