Georg Ambjörnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of everöd fc booed when Fredhälls IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viggo Nordmark didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Ove Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Stephansson in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Stephansson in the 13th minute of play forced Fredhälls IF's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uno Kjellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Haström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, everöd fc's Ture Stephansson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stig-Ove Eriksson. Stig-Ove Eriksson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ture Stephansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig-Ove Eriksson having to make a save. If Ture Stephansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Biörling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Stig-Ove Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Rasmus Biörling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. everöd fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rasmus Biörling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Folke Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rasmus Biörling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, everöd fc's Ture Stephansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig-Ove Eriksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ture Stephansson was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute there was a penalty for Fredhälls IF. Felix Björk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Uno Kjellqvist. 1-1. 60 minutes into the match, Folke Åström notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of everöd fc's Uno Kjellqvist. Uno Kjellqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Fredhälls IF getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Emanuel Carlsson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fredhälls IF's Olov Ahlberg got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Stephansson in the 76th minute of play forced Fredhälls IF's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Folke Åström came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fredhälls IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folke Åström couldn't finish the play. Stig-Ove Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Stephansson in the 85th minute of play. Fredhälls IF's Stig-Ove Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Biörling in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, everöd fc's Rasmus Biörling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig-Ove Eriksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stig-Ove Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ture Stephansson in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Fredhälls IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ture Stephansson came free, but Stig-Ove Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ture Stephansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fredhälls IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fredhälls IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
