The referee ignored Holmön IFK's protests and gave Mattias Öberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Staffanstorp United FC booed when Holmön IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Öberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Jonasson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mattias Lenberg came out and tried to block the shot, but David Jonasson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Torgny Vennerdal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mattias Lenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Sebastian Sävström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd match minute, Holmön IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Björk to maneuver through the defense. Anton Strand took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mattias Lenberg. Holmön IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kalle Kellman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Gulliksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Mattias Lenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Jonasson went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Mattias Lenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgny Vennerdal in the 36th minute. Mattias Lenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Jonasson in the 37th minute of play. Torgny Vennerdal struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Mattias Lenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Staffanstorp United FC. David Jonasson had several of the Holmön IFK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Mattias Lenberg as he didn't even see the shot coming. Torgny Vennerdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Lenberg having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Edvin Gulliksson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Torgny Vennerdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. William Björk kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sven-Edvin Gulliksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Staffanstorp United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Åke Nykvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Jonasson in the 84th minute of play forced Holmön IFK's goalkeeper Mattias Lenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
