The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Edward Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Olenberg struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Patric Wennerberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Munsö. Gösta Bark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Patric Wennerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Munsö's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Elof Lägdin scored to the left of an out of position Ingemar Kinell, making the score, 1-0. George Engström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ingemar Kinell made a huge save. Edward Olenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Elof Lägdin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trollhättan FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Elof Lägdin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Kinell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute Elof Lägdin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Kinell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, one of Munsö:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Emanuel Stål shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The supporters of Trollhättan FF booed when Munsö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Åhlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Kinell having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Trollhättan FF got a freekick which was hit by Elof Lägdin. Edward Olenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The supporters of Munsö booed when Trollhättan FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Giöck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Munsö's zone, George Engström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Kinell came out of the goal and George Engström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gösta Bark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Patric Wennerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trollhättan FF's Patric Wennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Bark in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Gösta Bark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patric Wennerberg made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Edward Olenberg sent off a good shot on target. If Edward Olenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Giöck during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Trollhättan FF's Erik Giöck got a free kick in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Olenberg in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patric Wennerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik Giöck hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Trollhättan FF's goalkeeper Patric Wennerberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Olenberg.
