After 5 minutes of play, Lyckeby GOIF's Herbert Möller made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Ugla was left in no man's land by his defense there! 8 minutes into the match, Lyckeby GOIF's Einar Myhr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Ugla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Börje Lindblom charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Torshälla booed when Lyckeby GOIF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes Lyckeby GOIF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wictor Pil who took care of the corner kick. Herbert Möller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Ugla having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Kåre Valler hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Magne Olsman made a precise shot to the right of Richard Ugla. Torshälla's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 59th match minute, Torshälla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kåre Valler to maneuver through the defense. 63 minutes into the match, Lyckeby GOIF's goalkeeper Valter Lönn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elias Nyman. Kåre Valler got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Lyckeby GOIF booed when Torshälla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Valler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Möller scored 4-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Ugla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Valter Lönn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magne Olsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Ugla having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Herbert Möller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Richard Ugla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Richard Ugla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Möller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Ugla having to make a save. Lyckeby GOIF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
