Kalle Wall struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Per Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for David. Torsten Kolberg kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Svanskog FF getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Torsten Kolberg hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match Wilhelm Biörnberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Mattsson skillfully saved the ball. When Torsten Kolberg fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Svanskog FF's protests and gave Torsten Kolberg a yellow card for diving instead. Torsten Kolberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as David's Kalle Wall slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Per Mattsson. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 19th minute Björn Holmstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Mager saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilgot Bocklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Mager. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilgot Bocklund ran back to his position shaking his head. After 30 played minutes Svanskog FF got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Kolberg. Ingvar Arhenius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Ingvar Arhenius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Vilgot Bocklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Mager saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Holmstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Mager having to interfere. Karl Mager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Holmstedt in the 38th minute of play. If Vilgot Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, Vilgot Bocklund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Karl Mager was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Holmstedt to strike the kick off in the second half. David's Ingvar Arhenius got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Leif Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Mager made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Nordlander in the 57th minute of play. Vilgot Bocklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Mager having to interfere. Dan Nordlander charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Nordlander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Björn Holmstedt came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Svanskog FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Holmstedt couldn't finish the play. Björn Holmstedt struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Karl Mager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Holmstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in David's zone, Carl Örtendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Mager came out of the goal and Carl Örtendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The David fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Svanskog FF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
