George Granberg started the match with the kick off. If Ivar Nordlander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Stellan Kjellman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sixten Sandell FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stellan Kjellman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stellan Kjellman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Carl Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When George Granberg came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Sixten Sandell FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Granberg couldn't finish the play. After 14 minutes, Robert Lagerberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockton IK and the Sixten Sandell FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Egon Alefors sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stockton IK's Carl Malmberg didn't even have to move. 20 minutes into the match, Sixten Sandell FF's goalkeeper Emanuel Lundström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Strömqvist. 22 minutes into the match, Sixten Sandell FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ivar Nordlander came free, but Emanuel Lundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sixten Sandell FF's Emanuel Lundström got control of the ball when Nils Strömqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sixten Sandell FF booed when Stockton IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Lagerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes of play, Sixten Sandell FF's Stellan Kjellman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Malmberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, Lucas Anselius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stellan Kjellman took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carl Malmberg. Carl Malmberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Stockton IK's Ivar Nordlander got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute of the match Egon Alefors sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carl Malmberg skillfully saved the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils Strömqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Stellan Kjellman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Mårten Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joakim Busk kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Stockton IK's goal looked a bit too open when George Granberg came free, but Carl Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Malmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When George Granberg came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sixten Sandell FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Granberg couldn't finish the play. George Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Carl Malmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joakim Busk fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stockton IK's protests and gave Joakim Busk a yellow card for diving instead. Joakim Busk hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Egon Alefors was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Granberg in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Malmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 81 played minutes Stockton IK got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Busk. Carl Malmberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stellan Kjellman in the 83rd minute. Bengt Törnkvist's late challenge caught a Stockton IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Törnkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Bengt Törnkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sixten Sandell FF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
