EIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henry Winström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Henry Winström managed to get in a good position for a shot. SouthSideSquad's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Winström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johan Mellin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SouthSideSquad's Sverker Hedström got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Anders Mattsson fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SouthSideSquad's protests and gave Anders Mattsson a yellow card for diving instead. Anders Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Eskil Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johan Sjöberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Mellin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Johan Sjöberg ran back to his position shaking his head. If Anders Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes EIK got a freekick which was hit by Björn Widberg.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ture Gregersson to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Henry Winström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EIK's Johan Mellin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Anders Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eskil Forss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kasper Uggstedt having to interfere. The EIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johan Mellin should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, SouthSideSquad's goal looked a bit too open when Ture Gregersson came free, but Kasper Uggstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sverker Hedström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Klemensson kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Sverker Hedström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Mellin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SouthSideSquad's zone, Eskil Forss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper Uggstedt came out of the goal and Eskil Forss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johan Mellin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Winström in the 94th minute of the match. Johan Mellin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Mattsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute, Kurt Klemensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SouthSideSquad's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
