Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ture Gregersson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 minutes, Alfred Carlsson made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. EIK's Johan Mellin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kurt Klemensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Pål Rydelius made a huge save. In the 17thth minute of the game Alfred Carlsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EIK's Johan Mellin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. EIK's Emanuel Haraldsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 21st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pål Rydelius but with some difficulty. Kenneth Bocklund scored 0-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johan Mellin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27thth minute of the game Alfred Carlsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EIK's Johan Mellin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eskil Forss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pål Rydelius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Gregersson in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Vimmerby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Sundström to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Anders Skräddare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Mellin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alfred Carlsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johan Mellin was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After 46 played minutes EIK got a freekick which was hit by Björn Widberg. In the 49th minute, Alfred Carlsson made a precise shot to the right of Johan Mellin. EIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 55th minute, Anders Skräddare reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Johan Mellin. The goal made the score 0-4. Kurt Klemensson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Konrad Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 66 minutes of play, EIK's Björn Widberg made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pål Rydelius was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Anders Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rutger Skytt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Johan Mellin made a huge save. Alfred Carlsson struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Johan Mellin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vimmerby. Anders Skräddare might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Mellin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anders Skräddare ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfred Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Johan Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Mellin having to interfere. If Alfred Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfred Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Johan Mellin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anders Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johan Mellin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred Carlsson went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Vimmerby played a much better game than EIK and deserved their victory. The EIK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
