The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivar Hjortsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Karlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 12 played minutes Unexpected FC got a freekick which was hit by Marc Karlstedt. After having played for 13 minutes, Marc Karlstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unexpected FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marc Karlstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sexdrega's Ivar Hjortsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Vallengren in the 15th minute of play. Daniel Vallengren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ture Nyqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sexdrega defense, Marc Karlstedt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivar Hjortsberg. The Sexdrega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivar Hjortsberg should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Unexpected FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Marc Karlstedt hit a great ball. Maximilian Rudkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivar Hjortsberg having to make a save. Marc Karlstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivar Hjortsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Vallengren in the 34th minute of the match. Marc Karlstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Hjortsberg having to interfere. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sexdrega's goalkeeper Ivar Hjortsberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivar Hjortsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Karlstedt in the 40th minute of the match. If Daniel Vallengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Hjortsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Karlstedt in the 42nd minute of play. Marc Karlstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Unexpected FC's Daniel Vallengren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Hjortsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 56 minutes into the match, Sexdrega's goalkeeper Ivar Hjortsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Vallengren. The crowd rose to their feet as Marc Karlstedt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivar Hjortsberg. That made the score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Karlstedt in the 63rd minute of play forced Sexdrega's goalkeeper Ivar Hjortsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc Karlstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Marc Karlstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. It was beautiful to see Sexdrega's Ture Nyqvist in action when he in the 74th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilhelm Månsson during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bengt-Åke Sundberg was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Sexdrega's Ivar Hjortsberg got control of the ball when Daniel Vallengren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marc Karlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ivar Hjortsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Malcolm Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marc Karlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marc Karlstedt came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Unexpected FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marc Karlstedt couldn't finish the play.
