Harry Ahlgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Östhammar RK's goal looked a bit too open when Zebastian Västlund came free, but Melker Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niklas Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Harry Ahlgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östhammar RK. The supporters of Östhammar RK booed when Vallhamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Ståhlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vallhamn were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Östhammar RK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stefan Hägg took the corner. The corner ended in Stefan Hägg almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Östhammar RK's Melker Karlsson did a great save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Östhammar RK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vallhamn.
