Horred BF's Fritz Bodin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Horred BF from getting a goal against them. Inge Emander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Nyberg in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Horred BF booed when Grönahög FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Lars Lustig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fritz Bodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Widberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Grönahög FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Edvin Clementsson in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Birger Nyberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Inge Emander. Birger Nyberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. A collision led to Horred BF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. John Almstedt hit a great ball. When John Almstedt fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horred BF's protests and gave John Almstedt a yellow card for diving instead.
