In the 24th match minute, Färjestaden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Löfkvist to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Hammarby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Anthon Eklund came free, but Rickard Söderman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Lindberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Skark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Rickard Söderman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Hammarby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Strömqvist to maneuver through the defense. Rickard Söderman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Skark in the 44th minute of play. Kjell Kristiansson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthon Eklund to strike the kick off in the second half. Rickard Söderman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Anthon Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Söderman having to interfere. Rickard Söderman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anthon Eklund's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When Hammarby IF's Timmy Törnkvist in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Hammarby IF's Rickard Söderman got control of the ball when Charles Skark tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Albert Strömqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orvar Bergfeldt kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Charles Skark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hammarby IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
