In the 27th minute, Claes Fribäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claes Fribäck's late challenge caught a Åsunden FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Jens-Ove Tunander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Brenner was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Åsunden FK's zone, Claes Fribäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Brenner came out of the goal and Claes Fribäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bender Football Club were victorious despite being under pressure from Åsunden FK for much of the match.
