Karl-Åke Eckegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvin Stålman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Per-Arne Bergendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Madrid's Edvin Stålman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Per-Arne Bergendahl. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. August Wennerquist hit a great ball. Jörgen Bengtsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Real Madrid's Karl-Åke Eckegren got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Karl-Åke Eckegren took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Per-Arne Bergendahl to make any attempt to save it. After 26 minutes, Karl-Åke Eckegren made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sveriges Rikes Lag's Per-Arne Bergendahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Madrid's Alf Kruse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Berglund in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by August Wennerquist. Lars-Erik Nyberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Per-Arne Bergendahl 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute of the match Karl-Johan Åkesson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Arne Bergendahl skillfully saved the ball. With his leg Per-Arne Bergendahl managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Real Madrid's Karl-Åke Eckegren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Karl-Åke Eckegren came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Åke Eckegren couldn't finish the play. Per-Arne Bergendahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Åke Eckegren's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Åke Eckegren to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl-Michael Molander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Alf Kruse made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Karl-Åke Eckegren made a precise shot to the right of Per-Arne Bergendahl. Sveriges Rikes Lag's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Karl-Åke Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Per-Arne Bergendahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Åke Eckegren's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Edvin Stålman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvin Stålman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Arne Bergendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Per-Arne Bergendahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Åke Eckegren in the 64th minute of the match. If Karl-Åke Eckegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Åke Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Arne Bergendahl having to interfere. Edvin Stålman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Per-Arne Bergendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sveriges Rikes Lag's zone, Karl-Åke Eckegren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Arne Bergendahl came out of the goal and Karl-Åke Eckegren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Karl-Åke Eckegren sped through Sveriges Rikes Lag's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per-Arne Bergendahl. A hard shot by Paul Hurtig from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Alf Kruse's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 87 minutes into the game, Karl-Åke Eckegren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Per-Arne Bergendahl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Real Madrid players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
