After 3 minutes, Douglas Blomberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunnemo and the FC Spaten players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kurt Burman charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Burman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Sunnemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurt Burman to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, FC Spaten's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Blomberg came free, but Matthias Sundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Douglas Blomberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. After 20 played minutes Sunnemo got a freekick which was hit by Douglas Blomberg. In the 22nd minute Sten Sjöman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sten Sjöman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Johannes Almkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmund Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Sjöman in the 35th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

FC Spaten's Arvid Helberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Manfred Brolin in the 53 minute of the game. Wilhelm Rosin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Matthias Sundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sten Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kurt Burman scored 1-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthias Sundin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 92 minutes, Manfred Brolin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunnemo and the FC Spaten players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sunnemo's Manfred Brolin got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
