The audience was convinced that Åke Alin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Einar Tingelholm was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. If Kurt Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thor Backlund scored 1-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Pettersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andréas Dahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Matsson was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Fogdö IF's Åke Alin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einar Tingelholm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Åke Alin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Einar Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Matsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Tingelholm having to interfere. Einar Tingelholm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kurt Matsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. If Åke Alin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roslags-Näsby BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kurt Matsson 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2.
