In the 4th minute, Patrick Västerstrand reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Morgan Moberg. The goal made the score 1-0. If Kurt Öman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11thth minute of the game Fredrik Sandström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nottingham Forest FC's Elof Stolpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Öman in the 17th minute of play forced Nottingham Forest FC's goalkeeper Elof Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Öman struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Elof Stolpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Björkvik. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christer Benet during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nottingham Forest FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Christer Benet hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Pär Engström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elof Stolpe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elof Stolpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Sandström, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Stefan Algren came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Nottingham Forest FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Algren couldn't finish the play. If Stefan Algren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Björkvik defense, Christer Benet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Morgan Moberg. The Björkvik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Morgan Moberg should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fredrik Sandström to make the kick off. Björkvik were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Nottingham Forest FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pär Engström took the corner. The corner ended in Pär Engström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nottingham Forest FC's Elof Stolpe did a great save. Morgan Moberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Västerstrand in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Nottingham Forest FC's zone, Fredrik Sandström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elof Stolpe came out of the goal and Fredrik Sandström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Björkvik's goalkeeper Morgan Moberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Björkvik's Morgan Moberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Västerstrand in the 64th minute of play. When Fredrik Sandström came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Björkvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Sandström couldn't finish the play. Elof Stolpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Sandström in the 73rd minute. 89 minutes into the game, Fredrik Sandström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Elof Stolpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fredrik Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Elof Stolpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernt Viklund scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elof Stolpe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
