After having played for 14 minutes, Vilgot Gummeson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almas änglar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Gummeson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knutby FF's Mats Sellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Igelström in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Almas änglar got a corner. Knutby FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ola Uggstedt ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Almas änglar's corner Ola Uggstedt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mats Sellberg quite easily take care of the ball. Almas änglar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Nils-Emil Wennersten scored to the left of an out of position Bengt-Åke Kruuse, making the score, 1-0. Bengt-Åke Kruuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Wennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mats Sellberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almas änglar. Vilgot Gummeson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Mats Sellberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Igelström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
