Patrik Pilblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Hökkvist having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Patrik Pilblad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bananboll BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Pilblad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Hökkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olof Ekman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 played minutes Vellinge IK got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Månsson. In the 15th minute, Bertil Lindqvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vellinge IK's Mats Hökkvist didn't even have to move. Joacim Ålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mats Hökkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Vellinge IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Fågel to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Bananboll BK's Bertil Lindqvist tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bananboll BK's Ulf Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Bananboll BK from getting a goal against them. After 25 played minutes Bananboll BK got a freekick which was hit by Olof Ekman. George Juhlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Norberg having to interfere. Patrik Pilblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bananboll BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when George Juhlin scored to the left of an out of position Ulf Norberg, making the score, 2-0. Ulf Norberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Juhlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joacim Ålberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Per-Erik Berglund struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ulf Norberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vellinge IK. Patrik Pilblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jimmy Fågel fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vellinge IK's protests and gave Jimmy Fågel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Jimmy Fågel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Vellinge IK's goalkeeper Mats Hökkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrik Pilblad. After a rather tough play, Vellinge IK's Jimmy Fågel got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Joacim Ålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George Juhlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Norberg having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Bananboll BK got a freekick which was hit by Olof Ekman. The Vellinge IK support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
