Algot Karlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Broberg in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Pumbas BK booed when Furuvik RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bengt Olsson sped through Furuvik RK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tage Lindell. Furuvik RK's Tage Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Olsson in the 39th minute of play. Pumbas BK's Bengt Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tage Lindell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Olsson's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Bengt Olsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The audience was convinced that Bengt Olsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tage Lindell was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Paul Back came free in the 80th minute and tried to tip the ball over Tage Lindell, but to the joy of Furuvik RK's supporters the ball went over. Fredric Broberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
