Furuvik RK's Tage Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Olsson in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Fredric Broberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furuvik RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pumbas BK the free kick. After 13 played minutes Furuvik RK got a freekick which was hit by Fredric Broberg. When Bengt Olsson in the 15th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Tage Lindell kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 20th minute, Joel Lindström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Olsson in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tage Lindell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Pumbas BK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gunnar Svensson hit a great ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tage Lindell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Östen Hellgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes in the game, Björn Ödmann fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tage Lindell having to interfere. Tage Lindell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt Olsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredric Broberg was the one to do the kick off. Tage Lindell came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Pumbas BK's Johan Öberg. But to his dismay, Johan Öberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Tage Lindell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Olsson's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. When Björn Ödmann came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pumbas BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Ödmann couldn't finish the play. Tage Lindell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Olsson's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Furuvik RK's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Öberg came free, but Tage Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66thth minute of the game Bengt Olsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Furuvik RK's Tage Lindell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt Olsson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tage Lindell saved Furuvik RK from getting behind. If Bengt Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Furuvik RK's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt Olsson came free, but Tage Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredric Broberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Olsson in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tage Lindell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tage Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidar Holm in the 81st minute of play. When Bengt Olsson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Pumbas BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Olsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Furuvik RK's zone, Bengt Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Lindell came out of the goal and Bengt Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Furuvik RK booed when Pumbas BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Back didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pumbas BK had played much better football throughout.
