Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kurt Wall to make the kick off. FC Türkgücü's Fritz Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonatan Lundin in the 59th minute of play. Torbjörn Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Jonatan Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Toronto Raptors's zone, Brian Eklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Lundhberg came out of the goal and Brian Eklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toronto Raptors's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
