Edane IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svante Ahlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svante Ahlgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Stenström having to interfere. If Leo Sundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute, Leo Sundberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pontus Westerberg. The goal made the score 1-0. Svante Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Samuel Stenström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Svante Ahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Svante Ahlgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Smisk's Edvard Billvall got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Samuel Stenström came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Edane IFK's Magnus Bäckström. But to his dismay, Magnus Bäckström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Magnus Bäckström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Samuel Stenström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leo Sundberg made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Svante Ahlgren took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Samuel Stenström to make any attempt to save it. In the 57th minute, FC Smisk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Svante Ahlgren fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Svante Ahlgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Samuel Stenström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Smisk's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Sundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pontus Westerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, FC Smisk's Leo Sundberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pontus Westerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Pontus Westerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Nordström in the 73rd minute of the match. If Magnus Bäckström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, FC Smisk's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Ahlgren came free, but Samuel Stenström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Smisk's Gert Biörling got a free kick in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesper Dahlberg during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match was over Edane IFK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Smisk throughout the match.
